Original 1981 Audiophile Pressing
This is the original 1981 Mobile Fidelity pressing of Parallel Lines by Blondie (cat # MFSL 1-050) and it is very close to perfect. Mobile Fidelity is famous for using the original master studio tape and transferring it at 1/2 speed to capture every nuance of the recording. The records are specially plated and pressed in Japan by JVC with their highest quality vinyl, a proprietary blend called "supervinyl," which produces maximum clarity, an extra-quiet album and a playing lifespan 5x longer than standard mass-produced vinyl. This copy was purchased at the time of it's release, played an a few times and carefully stored away. The cover of this copy has 3 very small corner dings - otherwise the cover and vinyl are as close to mint as you can imagine - absolutely pristine vinyl!
