V6-5008 Stereo Banana Peel Sticker Manufactured: MGM 1350 Avenue of the Americas NY, NY 10019 1967
I am not a record collector, so I am not aware of all pertinent record condition terms. I have owned this record for about 20 years now; It has been a part of my extensive collection of Andy Warhol art and ephemera which I am currently dispersing.
The banana peel sticker is nicely skewed so that you can see the whole peel and pink banana beneath! Most of these original album banana peels are ripped or damaged... it looks like this one had a bit of wear right to the neck of the stem (on the inner curve) that was touched up lightly and very well... only visible in raking light. Peel is not torn. There is some light ring wear to the back of the album. The front shows an area just at the upper right of "warhol" where a label or piece of tape was removed... please see photo. I tried to take the photos so that any flaws were shown prominently so you can get a sense of the album condition. All in all it displays beautifully. The Vinyl itself shows a few scuffs and minor scratches that add a touch of scratchy sound in some parts of the album but definitely no skips!
This is a terrific example of this rare and sought after album!!
