Description
The time has come to start to offload some more of my collection of rare and ORIGINAL 1960's period BBC Transcription discs. Those in the know will realise that these are some of the most sort after records out there and it is thought that only 100 or so of each were pressed........with the vast majority of these being destroyed. This collection has been in my possession for many years and it hurts to let them go........but I'm not getting any younger!
The idea of these discs was simply that they were created out of various recent BBC live sessions which were then spliced together with links and interviews by the venerable Brian Matthew. These 'compilations' were then sent out to various BBC outposts who would play them as a complete radio programme called Top Of The Pops before being instructed to destroy them by a set date.
Some have an original BBC printed cue sheet whilst some do not.......but I have hand written all of the details relating to each of the latter.
