Description
Hi All, its been some time since I put a few records up for auction, however, the thinning out of my collection continues. OK for your consideration we have:
Title: A BEARD OF STARS by TYRANNOSAURUS REX
Cat No: SLRZ 1013 – stereo
Issue: Original 1969 UK issue on the RED REGAL ZONOPHONE Label
Vinyl Condition visual: Visually, the vinyl grades as VG; it has retained some of its gloss and sheen. The disc is essentially clean with few mild scratches and marks on each side. These are of the non-feelable type and do not affect play.
Vinyl Condition Playback: VG+; very mild audible light static clicks and pops at the run-in but almost silent between tracks, occasional low level/mild static pops in a few places but nothing drastic at all and all commensurate with age and grade. it’s a strong VG+ on side 1 and VG on side 2 as there are a few more audible clicks. No serious deterioration in sound quality. The vinyl sits flat on the turntable.
Label Condition: Ex; just look at the pics, a few very light spindle marks, but no damage or other unwanted blemishes at all to the labels. All script is clean and legible.
Cover Front: The cover grades as EX; the lamination is ex across the cover and there is minimal issues to report. Very mild ring-wear when held to the light and one or two mild dings at the opening edge but that’s about it. No major creases or dents at all, a real beauty.
Cover Back: EX; as for the front really, a little gentle creasing, nothing too serious at all and all commensurate with age and grade and very light ring-wear. Essentially its very clean and unmarked.
Spine: EX; the spine is intact with no splits or tears and it has retained a good shape; good laminate cover and the text is very clear and legible. You can just see the pinched corners.
Corners: VG; very slight bumps but essentially quite sharp.
Insert: Comes with lyric insert which again is in VG+ condition.
Summary: A wonderful album in very playable and enjoyable condition. If you’re seeking a minter please note that this copy is, as a package, graded VG+.
Postage: With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.
