Description
Turned down by Sam Philips because they sounded too much like Elvis .. Johnny Burnette : Brother Dorsey & Paul Burlison eventually signed with Coral Records . This their third & final single release on the label was the result of an album session at Owen Bradley’s ground breaking Quonset Hut Studio Nashville in early July 1956 where they teamed up with Buddy Harman on drums & the best picker in the business .. Grady Martin . As you would expect genuine original copies of this moment in rockabilly history are hard to find . So much so there are more bootleg copies around than you could shake a drum stick at . This however is the real deal as the provenance & essential machine stamped matrix numbers confirm . Discogs are good on this & I will be delighted to answer any specific questions from interested bidders . What’s more it will come with the original sleeve also still looking pretty good after 66 years of careful safe keeping . No reserve so the winning bid secures both a trophy rockabilly single & an ongoing investment
