Description

ULTRA RARE ORIGINAL DAVID BOWIE LP “THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD” DRESS COVER

This a an ultra Rare original 1971 UK Mercury label 19-track LP with the legendary 'Dress Sleeve' or 'Drag Cover' as it's known in the US!

This sleeve was WITHDRAWN in the UK and is highly sought after by collectors the world over.

It is very hard to find genuine dress sleeves as there are some very good counterfeits on the market, however this is 100% Original

Released in the UK in 1971 on the "Mercury" lbl.cat.no. 6338 041. The run-off groove numbers are - Side 1 6338041 1Y//1420 112 - Side 2 6338041 2Y//1420

The labels are in MINT condition with no writing at all either side, and no 'spindle' wear to be seen

The cover is also in exellent condition, the spine and edges have slight ware and there is a very small "rubbed" patch on the back, and the cover has a 'textured' feel to it.

The vinyl is graded as excellent -, there are visible light marks but nothing to spoil sound quality so is still EXCELLENT !
