ORIGINAL Decca SXL 2006 ED1 Wide Band Groove Mendelssohn & Bruch RUGGIERO RICCI, PIERINO GAMBA LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA 1958
One of many quality ORIGINAL classical recordings MAINLY UK FIRST PRESSINGS I will be listing over the coming days all from a SUPERB ONE OWNER COLLECTION purchased new in the "Golden Age" 1950s-60s. I have acquired the collection direct from the gentleman's widow - they were bought from new, mostly PLAYED ONCE on highest quality equipment and recorded on reel to reel and then ARCHIVED away. I will point out any flaws (should there be any) as I individually list each one.
This one is a UK original Stereo DECCA SXL 2006 Wide Band Groove (ED1 label - "Original Recording" at 10 O' clock), SCALLOPED flipback, matrix 2e, 2e. Liner sleeve in excellent condition. The labels are in superb condition. Outer sleeve is good but with damage to the bottom flipback as shown in the scans. The vinyl is NEAR MINT with just a couple of very faint wispy lines in strong light & looks like only been played one or two times MAXIMUM - I test played this album from start to finish and the audio is stunning. Please note any lines visible on the vinyl in my scans are simply light reflections and are NOT on the record. Were it not for the slight damage to the sleeve this would grade as NEAR MINT.
