Description

Hi All, for your consideration we have:

Title: IN THE LAND OF GREY AND PINK BY CARAVAN

Cat No: SDL R1 – STEREO

Issue: 1971 issue on the DERAM Label

Vinyl Condition visual: The vinyl grades as EX-; the vinyl has retained much of its gloss and sheen and is very presentable. The disc is clean overall with just a few very light/wispy scratches and minor marks; nothing too serious and certainly nothing that affects play.    It’s a strong EX.

Vinyl Condition Playback: The playback grades as EX; virtually a silent run-in and hardly any static of note.  There are 4 or 5 clicks at the beginning of track 2 side 1; however, the rest of the album is EX with just very mild and occasional low level clicks and pops in a few places. Overall the music is delivered fab and there is very little lessening in sound quality.  The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and plays through with no skips or jumps.

Label Condition: VG+; as you can see in the pics minimal spindle marks and no other blemishes and no other damage whatsoever; all text is clean and legible.

Cover Front: The front cover grades as EX; the laminated front is clean and in Ex shape. The lamination is good with very mild and gentle folds in a few places and a few very small creases near the spine edge.  There is a minor loss of laminate near to corners.  Essentially this is a very clean and presentable cover.

Cover Back: The laminated back cover is as for the front – damage free and clean with no writing blemishes rips or tears at all; a little ring-wear is evident when held at angle, other than that  it is fab.

Spine: The spine is overall EX, The spine is undamaged and has good laminate cover, no rips or tears and all the text is clear and legible.

Gatefold:  The unlaminated inside of the gatefold cover is superbly clean and damage free. No writing or unwanted marks at all.

Corners: all a little bumped and slightly rounded-off.

Opening Edge: The opening edge is in quite good order, a few minor bumps and dings from normal careful use – nothing too drastic.

Summary:  A very nice example of this fab Prog Rock album by the Canterbury based band and one that is difficult to find in decent shape.  This copy would make a nice addition to any collection.

Postage: With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no-nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.

Payment: Payment within 7 day’s please – many thanks.
