Like most Hendrix albums on the Track label, these were all soon to be repressed on Polydor.
Initial runs of this album has the Puppet cover, it was withdrawn and changed to this gatefold style with totally different artwork.
Unusually, and possibly made in haste, this included no text on front, back or spine, so it was far from obvious what it even was without looking inside.
The early-pressed intense black Track records were simply transferred to this new cover and are not that easy to find

Matrix Nos: 2406002 A 1 1 2 2 / 2406002 B 1 1 2 4. SUPER EARLY PRESS.
Musicians: Jimi Hendrix – electric guitar, vocals; Billy Cox – bass guitar; Buddy Miles – drums, vocals.
Even the 1970 date-coded inner is included. Most seen are Polydor pressings that again changed the cover to something totally different.
Hendrix fans and collectors, never underestimate how difficult this still very early copy truly is.
There is very light wear, very light corner and along the edges wear. Also some very light creases, specially at the top right and very light signs of ring wear.
The inner sleeve is in very good condition.
The inside gatefold, looks great.
The spine looks also great with very light wear to the edges.
