Description

Rare original Paramount 78 rpm recording of Blind Lemon Jefferson. 'Lectric Chair Blues b/w See That My Grave is Kept Clean - recorded in Chicago in February, 1928.
Paramount records were never known for the quality of the material that were used to make them, so many of them have not fared well through the years. I am no expert at grading records, but I would put this at a Good level, but no more. There is plenty of surface noise and it's seen its years. Offsetting the flaws, it IS a rare recording of one of the true pioneer blues artists and Jefferson's records don't come up all that often, in any condition. It will make a great addition to any blues collection. Jefferson's records never lose in value.
Pictures spell it out - forgive the shadows. Ask questions before bidding.I will pack this well and safe. I am offering free shipping in the CONUS. Overseas pays actual. No returns, so ask questions before hand.
