Description
This is a very RARE chance to get a guaranteed Original 1986 SIGNED WHITE Vinyl (LIMITED TO 2000 Copies!)
copy of the Flaming Lips classic LP "HEAR IT IS." Pink Dust Records 72173-1
THE BACK COVER OF THIS WAS SIGNED BY THE BAND AT A RECORD RELEASE PARTY IN
NORMAN, OKLAHOMA ON AUGUST 30, 1986.
I am including the original flyer for the Record Release Party at which this was signed.
This also includes the large Original two-sided 22 1/2" high and 17 1/2" wide black & white poster that came with this LP.
You'll also get the original sticker that was on the shrink wrap(I no longer have the shrink wrap) that verifies this is limited
to only 2000 copies.
We took eight pictures which you can "Super-Size" to see close-up views of all this stuff(signatures, vinyl, poster, flyer, sticker).
Many years ago(over fifteen years ago) we bought this off the person who had this signed back in Norman in 1986.
He was moving and wanted to get rid of a lot of his stuff.
This is in very good condition. We've had this in a protective plastic sleeve since the day we got this.
The signatures look fantastic and the cover has no splits or tears.
It sounds very good. I do hear some surface noise on a few of the more quiet moments and I recall this is how it sounded
when we bought it off the original owner.
We've collected colored vinyl for years and often colored vinyl will have some surface noise or crackly-sounding moments
on the quieter portions, so this may have been a flaw in the original white vinyl pressing but I can't say for sure.
We probably only played this white vinyl copy a couple times at most.
We also have a more common black vinyl copy which is the copy we always played so we could preserve the white wax copy.
