Titles: “So Much” / “Forgive and Forget”
Label: JUBILEE (script) ~ # 45-5016. Label is dark blue with silver text. Black vinyl.
Matrix numbers are etched “45-JR-601” and “45-JR-602 “ respectively.
Year: 1966
Condition: This vocal group rarity, an original pressing from 1952, captures the Orioles in one of their early efforts for the Jubilee label, and the performances are typically awesome. Unfortunately, this copy was not afforded the best of care by its original owner. I would grade it as VG- with much of the original gloss remaining. There are numerous small scuffs and a few hairline scratches that produce some noticeable surface noise, but there is very little wear indicating it was played somewhat sparingly, and as a result the harmonies are clear with very little distortion. To my ear the overall listening experience is fairly decent as you can hear in the accompanying sound clips. No skips or jumps. The labels are in poor condition, having been exposed to moisture on both sides. I would consider this to be a decent, listenable filler copy which may be the only way you will see this record in its original pressing.
