Description
ORNETTE COLEMAN 'The Shape Of Jazz To Come' with Donald Cherry original LP on Atlantic - MONO press (cat # 1317) - USA Press - released in 1959
Labels: MONO Deep-Groove "Bullseye"
Rare original 1959 MONO press - groundbreaking experimental Jazz LP that features Ornette Coleman (alto Sax), Don Cherry (cornet), Charlie Haden (bass) and Billy Higgins (drums) Nice thick wax is glossy with some hairlines and marks that do not inhibit playback. A nice VG+ condition. I test played from start to finish - no skips - one track had light background noise for a few seconds. Labels are crisp - unblemished clean. LP housed in original Atlantic inner sleeve (seam splits 3" on two sides) advertising other LP's. The glossy jacket is a strong VG+ with no seam splits - tiny price written on top right corner. Nice firm spine. This LP sounds awesome! Groundbreaking original release to be heard in the original analog MONO mix.
Shipping is $4.00 Media Mail (with confirmation) for USA bidders.

All records are mailed in heavy cardboard LP mailers purchased from Bags Unlimited. Each is protected by cardboard inserts and LP covers are poly lined. Records are removed (unless sealed) to avoid seam splitting. I use Goldmine's standard grading system via visual inspection. I also play grade.
