Description

ORPHAN EGG - orphan egg  Debut LP, Carole Records CARS 8004, 1968
This album is Orphan Egg, a San Jose, California band.  Orphan Egg only released one album and this is it!  They also appeared on the CYCLE SAVAGES soundtrack.
As quoted by music_emporium (Jun 21, 2013): "Orphan Egg's only released, this self-titled album which appeared record label (Carole 8004) in 1968, seems to have suddenly attracted the interest of serious psych fans and collectors as the price of an original has recently increased considerably, probably in recognition of both its scarcity, value, and musical appeal."
"Orphan Egg were a short lived group who were formed in 1967 in San Jose, and release a great garage-psych album." - hippy-djkit
A majority of the band members were students at Saratoga High School in Saratoga when they won the Vox Battle of the Bands, a nationwide competition.
This vinyl album is pristine and looks like its never been played.  The sleeve shows some shelf wear, please see the details in the pictures.  This album has a white inner sleeve.
This is a rare find and is in very good shape.  Thank you for your interest and happy bidding!
