UNBELIEVEABLE!
Imagine I told you, that Oscar Peterson, when he sings, sounds just like Nat King Cole.
Yep, I wouldn’t believe me either. But it’s true. Fact is, many years ago, jazz pianist Peterson released a couple of vocal albums, about which critics said, “Sounds like Nat King Cole!”
So, not comfortable at all with that, Oscar stopped, though sings quite a bit when just playing by himself. Wasn't until producer Jack Tracy approached Oscar, right after Nat King Cole’s passing, that Oscar considered doing at all another vocal LP.
Here it is, very special:
Oscar as deft as ever on piano, accompanied by trio and orchestra, singing WHEN MY SUGAR WALKS DOWN THE STREET, IT’S ONLY A PAPER MOON, WALKIN’ MY BABY BACK HOME, SWEET LORRAINE, LITTLE GIRL, GEE BABY AIN’T I GOOD TO YOU, STRAIGHTEN UP AND FLY RIGHT, and ORANGE COLORED SKY, among others.
As delightful as a record can be, here in a laminated jacket without fault, UK pressing within will play near mint.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
