Please note: This is a lathe cut record. It was made one-at-a-time, in real time, by a real person using an experimental process on 70+ year old machines. This process is unique and has a rich history (For example, Sam Phillips founder of Sun Records used a lathe to press all records onto acetate discs before he transitioned to magnetic tape. Those that came in to record a song as a novelty took home a lathe cut record… like Elvis did with My Happiness). This particular copy is cut on plexiglass. This is NOT a pressed record and may have 1) more surface noise, 2) light distortion, 3) some change in volume and overall audio quality. It will sound different than the original master. This is NOT a record for audiophiles. This is a record for collectors. It is definitely listenable and a whole lot of fun. It may require tonearm and anti-skate adjustment because the grooves are slightly shallower than a pressed record. The spindle hole may also be tight, but these records will not damage your needle or cartridge. Lower-end turntables sometimes have difficulties playing lathe records as well. This is a DIY project that was meant to be hands-on and fun and designed to be a limited edition collectible. Please enjoy. Be well.
