Review from Popsike : A dope and super funky soundtrack to the blaxploitation film "Gordon's War" starring Paul Winfield. While the film isn't on the short list of blaxploitation classics, the soundtrack certainly should be. The group Badder Than Evil handles most of the duties (along with cuts by New Birth, Sister Goose and the Ugly Ducklings, and singer Barbara Mason) and turn in some heavy, heavy funk business. Check out "Just Plain Luther," "He'll Be There," and "Harlem Dreams" for serious heat. Also, peep "Hot Wheels (The Chase)" for the classic break (used by everyone from the Coldcut to Public Enemy) and "Tell That Man to Go to Hell" for a nice drum break. Those who know, know. This is a must-have.
