OTIS RUSH 45 Homework / I Have To Laugh
1962 found Otis Rush recording with a big horn led band for the Duke label.
Under all of the big sound of trumpets, saxes and a trombone bubbled away a tight little Chicago blues band with Otis Rush & Lefty Bates on guitars, Lafayette Leake on keys, Jack Myers bass and Casey Jones drums.
This fantastic record is rocking horse rare and the top side Homework - a really good pop-soul-blues was covered by both Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac & The J Geils Band.
The flip I Had To Laugh is a great Bobby Bland styled blues ballad.
Brilliant Otis Rush vocal on both sides
Small stain on the label on side 2
A couple of minor surface marks do not affect play
