OTIS RUSH 45 It Takes Time c/w Checking On My Baby
Truly great Chicago Blues from 1958 with Otis Rush in briiliant form on vocals and guitar helped along by Louis Myers guitar, Harold Ashby sax, Little Brother Montgomery piano, Willie Dixon bass and Fred Below on drums.
The dual guitar licks of Rush & Myers really do something here but all involved are great players and they help make this record a lesson in taste and style.
A bit of ring wear on the labels but no stickers or writing.
There are quite a few surface marks on the record but it plays through just fine without sticking or jumping. The usual "surface" is there in the background as it is on most 50 plus year old records but it is not enough to get in the way of the music
