OTIS RUSH & DUANE ALLMAN "MOURNING IN THE MORNING" Import stereo lp on Cotillion 40 495 France issue 1973 NM/VG. (New dealer. Please check my About Me page.)
I would grade this LP NM, as it looks and plays pretty much as the day it was unsealed, with minimal play and minimal, if any, cosmetic marks. (Please keep in mind that some labels -- Crown, United, even a lot of Atlantic -- were recorded with less than state-of-the-art technology, my point being that some labels sound better than others.) Cream of the crop. THIS IS A VINTAGE COPY (pre-2000). ALL LPS COME TO YOU FRESHLY CLEANED AND PLAY READY. FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS RECLEAN EACH SIDE AFTER INITIAL PLAY (SOME OF MY LPS HAVE NOT BEEN PLAYED FOR 40 YRS. OR MORE). One of my all time favorite electric Blues recordings. For you Duane Allman fans Otis plays all the leads here as he should. All 5 stars on this session. The other French copies of this I've seen have the orange and green Atlantic label but this has the Cotillion label.
THE JACKET; No initials or stickers. Very functional jacket. I would rate the cover overall with bent corners and a small tear upper front. The blue import sticker pictured on the back of the label was successfully removed after the picture was taken. This is really very nice and if it weren't for the small tear I would have easily rated it VG+.
