Presented here is unique and hard to find record album, Oudi Hrant / "Eastern Standard Time" original first pressing Near East a subsidiary of the legendary jazz label "Prestige" heavy vinyl microgroove 45005 stereo, vinyl is flat and cleaned. Audible play quality is excellent plus near mint minus condition two tracks (unaccompanied oud) audible ticks noted the other nine with full ensemble play near mint minus , play tested album wearing stereo headphones. Jacket is in ok / good used condition showing edge wear with a full and partial seam split noted, also includes protective sleeve please read item description for more details. Oudi Hrant musician from Turkey, blind after birth struggled as a soloist in Turkey. Came to America for possible (unsuccessful) eye surgery. He was noticed and embraced by American musicians in the early sixties and having a limited recorded history. On this 1962 album a unique blend of beyond middle eastern traditional blended with jazz and some shades of zappa-esqe psych, augmented western instrumentation with drums, bass, xylophone. This Lp is on the Near East label 203 So. Washington ave. Bergenfield N.J. home of Prestige records.
