Description
Up for auction is a super clean copy of the rare Outkast album "Atliens" originally released on LaFace Records (73008-26029-1) in 1996. This is a guaranteed original first U.S. pressing, not a cheap reissue like most for sale on eBay. Still in the original, opened factory shrink wrap with ultra rare original factory Hype sticker that refers to Outkast's first album "Southernplayalistic". Later pressings did not have this sticker. Good luck finding another original copy with this rare Hype sticker.
The cover is in beautiful condition, with very few signs of previous wear or handling. Shrink wrap is opened but still intact, not ripped. No signs of ring wear or losses to the cover. Corners are sharp, not bumped; though the lower left does show a tiny crease and very minor rubbing. Also, there is some minor rubbing along the open edge near the top (see photos). Back cover is clean, no wear. Grade the cover Near Mint (NM), presents beautifully.
The two vinyl records are also in superb condition, with no signs of previous play or handling. Surfaces are ultra shiny and new looking, no scratches, no scuffs, no marks of any kind. No marks around spindle holes indicating little, if any, previous play. I have owned this record since new--and it has been played maybe once, and not all the way through. The sound quality is beautiful and clean. Impossible to upgrade, one of the nicest copies that you'll ever come across.
