In 2011, Epic and Legacy combined the first two Ozzy Osbourne solo albums together in a special deluxe package. It comes with all kinds of cool features, including a live album that is the early Blizzard of Ozz band, with Randy Rhoads, Lee Kerslake (in Europe, then Tommy Aldridge took over), and Bob Daisley (in Europe, then Rudy Sarzo took over). On that live album, available on the thirty year anniversary box set, is the song "Believer". The next year, in 2012, they released "Believer" on an awesome polka dotted 7" picture disc! The B side track is the moving ballad "Goodbye to Romance", and the 2010 vocal and guitar mix.

This comes in a heavy cardboard sleeve (and not a thin paper sleeve). The polka dots are in honor of Randy Rhoads' Flying V guitar! The polka dots are on both the A side, as well as the B side of the record. The front of the jacket is a very cool pic of a young Ozzy performing, and the back is a band pic, with song titles and credits. (Looks like Rudy and Tommy in the band, so taken during the North American tour.)

The vinyl itself looks great, but I can't vouch for the sound quality as I never play specialty vinyl such as pic discs or colored records. And 7" singles tend to be fragile, and can scratch easily. The record is still shiny and clean. The jacket looks awesome, with only the tiniest bit of wear. There's even an advertisement for the box set included inside!

Ozzy and his band helped define 80s metal, and influenced countless other bands through the years. He also took quite a few up and coming bands on tour with him once he went solo, and several have become big (like Motley Crue), and Ozzy even had Black Sabbath open for him a few times! His concerts are legendary, and I've been lucky enough to have seen him perform many times. I never got to see Randy Rhoads, as the first time I saw Ozzy, he was touring the 'Speak of the Devil' live album, and he had Brad Gillis (from Night Ranger) on guitar with Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge. Still, I was blown away, and quickly became a fan for life! We hope Ozzy is taking care of himself, chilling and relaxing at home, and spending time with his family...
