This record is from my own collection and purchased back in 1996, when I first hooked on this band around the 1996 release of 'Moseley Shoals'. Do not underestimate the rarity of this record! This was a mail order only release, not retailed in any ‘high street’ stores, and linked to the establishment of a very limited range of OCS merchandise by the band early in 1996. This single was pressed in two batches, and in runs of 3,000 and a second and final 4,000 units, and by the Summer of 1996 all copies were completely sold out, with this release destined to become a collector’s item. This copy is the first and earliest disk run with a matrix ending ‘01’ (see photo’s).
Format: 7” black vinyl record in thin card glossy unique picture sleeve. The track 'You've Got it Bad' is the rarer excellent demo version and backed by a beautiful ‘Mona Lisa Eyes’ produced by the then late Jimmy Miller.
Condition: This is a really rare single, and I’m not claiming that this copy is mint, but due to the rarity felt compelled to offer to an OCS fan. The outer cover is harshly graded as excellent, due to minimal yellowing, and minor creasing (see photo’s). I have photographed under harsh halogen lighting to highlight any defect! The record is harshly graded sonically as very good plus (+) condition, and plays the loud, dynamic track well on both sides with some minor background noise, a few pops in the lead in and a few pops throughout both side playbacks. Record is harshly graded visually as very good plus (+) condition, with a nice glossy surface, and numerous but light hairline markings. So not mint, but a great copy of a super rare single that plays well.
