OH, MY DARLN' - JACKIE LEE UK JAY BOY ORIGINAL (BOY 66) President Records Jay Boy offshoot deserved a medal for the way it showcased Randy Wood's Mirwood label in the early 1970's. This was one of their most superlative releases..produced by Fred Smith, arranged by James Carmichael, and written by Shirley Matthews who conjures up a heavenly femme backing chorus (The Belles or The Mirettes) for Earl Nelson aka Jackie Lee to lay down a laid back but so Souflul it burns you up vocal performance extraordinaire. Sheer genius and a record that has matured like fine wine to become a Northern Soul iconic anthem. No marks or label, vinyl is scuffed but plays fine.
