Up for grabs is a treasure trove of Oldies materials, largely from the 1950s.  With this set, you'll receive 3 LPs as well as close to 70 single (7") records for your enjoyment!  Please see below for a full description, as all are sold together as is.
LPs:
The New Ink Spots - The Wonderful World of the New Ink Spots Live! Spot Records - released ca. 1970. This copy was signed by several of the band members for my wife's grandmother. Record VG+, with some minor surface wear that doesn't affect the playback quality. Jacket VG-, due to a seam split along the bottom side as well as persistent surface wear on the cardboard.  It's a bit rough, but will hold together fine.
The Unforgettable Fifties RCA BMG Records - released 1988. This is a 4 LP set that includes many hits of the '50s, a few of which are duplicated in the singles collection listed below! Records VG++ to NM, with beautiful playback.  Translucent vinyl. Jacket NM, with shrinkwrap still around it.
Era bonus!  With this listing, you'll also receive: Gary Cooper - (Music from the Sound Track of) Return to Paradise Decca Records DL 5489 Released 1953.  This very hard-to-come-by record is a 10" LP.  This intermediate format only existed for a few years, to the best of my knowledge, to bridge the gap between the fading of the shellac era and the rise of the LP as a more widely viable and excepted long-play format.  (The 10" was conceived as a size suitable for "popular" recordings, especially soundtracks like this one that run roughly 20-25 minutes across two sides.) Record VG-, due to moderately persistent background surface noise.  All music and narration come through just fine, so the background noise shouldn't be super-distracting or affect your enjoyment too much. Jacket G, due to seam splits along the top (3") and bottom (4") edges.  I have added a 10" sized innersleeve to help afford the record more protection than it would get against the bare cardboard. 

Singles collection: These singles were mostly collected by my mother between 1954 and 1963.  The titles range from hits of the era by Pat Boone, Bobby Darin, and Henry Mancini, to big band and tap dancing songs, to the occasional Seeburg 7" record for store play (which likely came from my grandfather's radio and TV shop in West Seattle at the time).  Please use the zoom feature to check titles here, as well as condition on the post-it labels attached to each single.  Also feel free to write me with any questions about what's included.
A word about the ratings on the post-its. Using the Goldmine standards as a basis, I consider the following to accurately reflect what you'll get in this listing: VG++ means the record plays pristinely with next to no surface noise audible, and nothing more than hairline handling wear on the surface.  Record got played very sparingly, or with much improved playback equipment. VG+ means the record has a bit of background noise most audible at the beginning or end of the side, with minor handling wear in the form of a light but faintly audible scratch or surface mark.  Record was handled carefully, but has unavoidable wear from being enjoyed with early, cruder equipment. VG means the record may have more persistent surface noise or distortion on a high frequency sound, and greater signs of surface wear in the form of non-skipping scratches or ground-in dust.  This will usually happen with a single that got played a great deal on a machine with either a needle near the end of its lifespan or a heavy pickup, the latter of which was especially common back in the '50s before further engineering improvements in playback occurred. Anything below VG will have heavy surface noise, but that's a rare occurrence in this listing.
Part of this collection also includes some 7" box sets.  The Webcor set includes 10 singles, mostly dancing and jazz songs, and was given to my mother at Christmas 1959.  These records are pristine, rating VG++ to NM on playback.  The remaining sets listed below came from her older brother's record collection, but are related in material.
Russ Morgan and his Orchestra - A Collection of Special Recordings for Tap Dancing Decca Records 9-162 Released 1950.  Box set of four 7" records with company sleeves.  This may very well have belonged to my mother at one point, who was a tap dancer in the 1950s and '60s in a dance troupe in Seattle, Wash.  Records VG, with surface noise present throughout, but which won't overwhelm the music. Box F, due to indications of water damage that have resulted in mould spots visible on the inside and outside of the front cover.  This is strictly "as is" as a result, and this inclusion will be bagged separately from the other records in the listing to provide more protection to your investment.  The sleeves holding the four 7" records may have been replaced; they look to be just fine and don't show signs of mould damage.
Gertrude Lawrence (with Yul Brenner) - The King and I Decca Records ED 800 Released 1953.  This is a triple single set, comprised of EP-length 7" records that together hold the same content as a full-length LP.    Records VG to VG+, with very good sound quality throughout and light wear.  Side 1 has a slightly deeper scratch present that will click, but doesn't disrupt play. Jacket VG+, with very light surface wear present.  A wonderful vintage item!

As a math teacher and long-time record buyer with a definite passion for both vocations, I am excited to continue to make available LPs I have collected over the last twenty-two years but now need to winnow from my shelves.  The items I will be posting include quite a range of genres and interests - soundtracks, specialty records, and albums ranging from the typical mainstream to the unexpectedly weird.  Check back often to see what surprises I've got in store! 

Please note my conditions of sale:

-I use Goldmine standards to rate my albums, and I seek to do so conservatively.  Items will often receive both a visual check and a playgrade, so that I can review the material one last time and also listen for any differences between audible quality and my visual perception of an album's surface.  If there are any potential flaws in an item, I will make sure you know about those upfront.  Because I deal largely in used stock from my own collection and will be thorough in explaining an item's condition, please note that all sales are "as is" and final - returns are not accepted.

-I ship through USPS services to destinations in the U.S. only. All records will be packed sturdily with quality outer cardboard, with records and innersleeves removed from jackets to avoid seam splits on used items.  Shipping will occur no more than 2 days after you place and pay for your order.

-I will accept payments for items through PayPal only. If you win one or more of my auctions, please make sure items are paid for within 7 days of the listing's end.  Please do not bid or commit to buy if you don't intend to follow through with a payment.

-Shipping will be at cost to the buyer, through Media Mail: $4.16 for one album, then 50 cents per each additional listing in your order.  Listings with multiple items will already include the best possible shipping rate, and may still be stacked with additional purchases if you wish - just be sure to let me know so I can send you the correct charge on your invoice.

-A word to the wise on how I consider best offers: I often accept offers up to 30% below the listing value for my items.  Please avoid lowball offers!
