I consider the Jukebox EP to be the Ultimate "Promo" since it was authorized and licensed by both the artist and label, yet was manufactured and distributed by a third party. In addition, quantities made of these items were much smaller than the original 12" version - usually 5,000 - 7,000 copies at it's height and closer to 1,000 units at the end in the mid 1970's.
Oliver is a British musical, with music and lyrics by Lionel Bart. The musical is based upon the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. Additionally, its 1968 film adaptation, directed by Carol Reed, was highly successful, winning six Academy Awards including Best Picture.
This copy is Still Sealed in the original plastic. The record is untouched. Included with this jukebox ep is a full sheet of plastic title strips with both the header & footer. This Rare Jukebox EP also includes two mini pictures (for wallbox display). There is a small opening in the plastic seal on the bottom - please see picture for details. Three of the corners would benefit from a light cleaning. This is an original and still sealed example - like a time capsule.
These Jukebox EP's are wonderful pieces of American history and still highly collectible today - over 60 years after their debut. Finally, these EP's are nearly impossible to find still sealed and complete with title strips.
This extremely rare Jukebox EP is being sold from one collector to another.
