Ondaikoza is a professional creative Japanese drumming group formed in the early 1970s. When they first formed, they were based in Sado, and have released albums one after another since the 1980s. The ``One Hundred Views of Mount Fuji - Abstract Analog Master Direct Cut'' to be released this time is a high-quality record containing six carefully selected songs from the nine songs included in the album ``One Hundred Views of Mount Fuji'' released in 1997.
The original ``One Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji'' has been popular among audiophiles and music fans for many years as a work that challenged the ultimate analog recording in the heyday of digital recording. The person who recorded "One Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji" was Hideo Takada, who was working at Victor Studio at the time. Mr. Takada is one of Japan's leading recording engineers who has been involved in recording a wide range of music including idol, jazz, fusion, and pure Japanese music since joining Victor in 1969.
In 1997, Mr. Hideo Takada completed an analog recording in order to capture as much of the charm of the music played by Ondekoza as possible, and the result is none other than "One Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji." Recorded using a Studer analog tape recorder and mixed down to 1/2-inch and 1-inch master tapes, the ``One Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji'' CD has been released since its release as an amazing Japanese drum music. ・It has been listened to for generations as a work that allows you to enjoy the sound.
Mr. Hideo Takada, the original mixer, participated in the production of Ondekoza's ``One Hundred Views of Mt. Fugaku - Abstract Analog Master Direct Cut'', which will be released this time, and Mr. Takada himself has created a 6 that stands out in sound quality from ``One Hundred Views of Mt. This is an analog record with carefully selected songs.
This time, in accordance with Mr. Takada's wishes, in order to revive this work in high quality as an LP for audiophiles and music fans, the music signal recorded on the original analog master tape was completely engraved into the sound grooves of the lacquer record. We are focusing on bringing out the bottomless charm of. Until now, ``One Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji'' has been available on digital media such as CDs and SACDs, as well as records produced from digital masters. Although this work contains 6 songs, it is the first record produced going back to the original analog master tape. This work can be said to be the ultimate record that Mr. Takada had envisioned for many years.
The lacquer disc is produced using the original 1/2-inch and 1-inch analog master tapes played back on a fully tuned Studer analog tape recorder and a Neumann cutting lace VMS-80.
