Description
Bird - Doggin' b/w Ain't That Too Much - GENE VINCENT (Challenge 59337) wlp
Original 1966 white label promo 45. With his musical career non-existent in the U.S. at this stage, GENE experimented with the garage-rock vein on this 7". And what a successful experiment it was! A-side = totally great harp wailin' mover, as featured on many comps, rightly so. Immediately before the guitar break, VINCENT encourages the guitarist (Al Casey, perhaps?) w/ "let's go, guitar boy, let's get this one - HEY!" And the lead geetar dude responds w/ a stone killer extended lead break that SHREDS! - totally AMAZING!! Vinyl/labels in fantastic! condition, disc looks/sounds unplayed! Includes original Challenge paper sleeve also. A 'must have' for any/all '60s garage fans/collectors, no doubt about it.
Winning bidder, please do not send payment until you receive my invoice - shipping charges reflected by ebay are usually not accurate.
Disc = NEAR MINT/Labels = just barely a hint of ring wear on B-label; A-label = PERFECTION
My grading is very strict & guaranteed. I use: NM/VG and +/- variables. I've been collecting/dealing vinyl & music memorabilia/miscellaneous for almost 40 years. Bid with confidence. Also, please note - I do not gouge on postage/shipping charges - shipping costs will be approximately what the post office charges me, give or take a bit. If I overestimate the cost, I will refund you.
