This is a nice example of an original '69 U.S. 2 lp set on DECCA Rainbow label #DL-75127, this number is on each label, on cover is DXSW-7205. Title is TOMMY by THE WHO, cover is strong tri fold, the center pocket is for the photo/lyric booklet. Lps came in their orig DECCA Inner sleeves. they have matrix numbers stamped in trail off, side one is 7 11976 16. Side four is 7 11979 14 . Lps are in beautiful condition, labels and vinyl are brilliant and near pristine, labels have NO spindle marks, stains, writing, stickers, etc. Playing surfaces have a deep gloss shine, NO groove wear, warps, defects, scratches, etc. Only under close inspection did I see just a few small light surface scuffs that do not affect play. both inner sleeves have NO splits, wear, stains, folds, etc. Cover has strong seams and spine with no splits or flaking, spine print is perfect. also No ring wear, cut corners, punch holes, rivets, saw cuts, etc. And No bent or pushed in corners, stains, stickers, writing, etc. just has very light wear . Lyric photo booklet is near pristine with only light wrinkling, it has limited edition number printed on front page, with no number on it. I was 18 in 1969 and played my copy of this lp to death., this surely isn't mine. I acquired it from someone who obviously didn't listen to THE WHO like I did. I actually saw the who when they did this Tommy Tour, it was back when the lp first came out, they played THE FILLMORE EAST, an amazing show considering the size of this small theater. I remember before my friends and I took the trek into New York, one of my buddies said, were going to visit a friend of mine in Greenwich village and spend time with them before the show, while I was sitting there in his apartment on his couch conversing, laughing and having a great time I started to look at an artwork he had hanging on the wall , I was admiring it when I noticed that the landscape looked like it was moving, that could be because of a few things, but it was because of a huge number of cockroaches that were in between the glass and the artwork. needless to say I was having fun up until that point. The show was incredible none the less, and when I got home I made sure I left my clothes outside. Glad I could make available this nice 2 lp set in this CONDITION: COVER NM - - - / LPS NM - to NM. / BOOKLET NM - - .
