It gives me pleasure to make available this wonderful original rare BEATLES FAN CLUB Lp, called: THE BEATLES CHRISTMAS ALBUM. It is on the APPLE label #SPC-100. and is from 1970. I have read many times about the convincing counterfeits out there, so when I recently acquired 2 of these lps, one an original, the other a counterfeit. I thought it was going to be difficult to tell them apart. Not to the seasoned record collector. You can clearly see the difference. The original has vibrant cover graphics and dark, crisp print. Also the front and back of cover are cover slicks, the counterfeit is printed right onto the cardboard. The lp is not very convincing either. This original copy has bands on the playing surfaces seperating each cut on the lp, the counterfeit does not. And the labels are not washed out, they have dark well defined black print.And the most important factor of all in determining a real original, is that Bell Sound is stamped in the trail off. Just like this copy here. Please keep in mind when veiwing my photos I use a video camera, so the pictures look washed out, and out of focus. The video camera and the lighting I use will also at times add color where there is no color. For example, fine print sometimes looks like it was highlighted. None the less, this is a great find for the rare Beatles collector. The cover has some mild wear, 2 very tiny bent corners on top, and a tiny bit of spine flaking. Seams and spine are not split, there are NO cut outs, or stains. And NO fading. The lp is in the most beautiful condition. Labels have NO spindle marks, wear, stains, writing, etc. On the sliced side there are 4 very tiny marks from the manufacturer (see photo), the other label perfect. Playing surfaces are in the best condition. This lp could not have been played more than one time. Vinyl has a deep glossy shine with NO scratches, scuffs, groove wear, mold, defects, warps, etc. You have to look extremely close under bright lights to see just a few tiny, light surface marks that do not affect play.
