Description

This is an auction for the 1971 avant-garde music book / magazine with 2 original 10'' records:  SOURCE - MUSIC OF THE AVANT GARDE ISSUE NUMBER 9.

Featuring pieces on / by:  Lowell Cross, Arrigo Lora-Totino, Marilyn Wood, Jim Burns, Manford Eaton, Jacques Brodier, Ed Kobrin, Alvin Curran, Paul Klerr, Anna Lockwood, Nelson Howe and Nicolas Slonimsky.

Magazine looks great with only light wear / stress and a couple of pages with some light discoloration.  It looks like a couple of pages may have had attached pieces that came loose (see scans 3-5).

Includes 2 original 10'' records:

RECORD NUMBER 5 - Lowell Cross "Video II (B) / (C) / (L)" / Arrigo Lora-Totino "English Phonemes 1970" (SR 19/20) - Excellent condition - looks barely played with only a couple of faint marks that cannot be felt - plays great with only a light background crackle that does not overpower music.

RECORD NUMBER 6 - Alvin Curran "Magic Carpet" / Anna Lockwood "Tiger Balm" (SR 21/22) - very glossy with a few very small light marks - plays great with only a light crackle that does not overpower music.

No reserve.
