Description

RARE 10" Elvis LP on the HMV label.....

I don't know about you but I am sick of people who list a record as a grade but then when you get it and it "jumps" or whatever, they tell you that it was a visual grading even after spouting a lot of rubbish about grading and not mentioning the "small" fact that it was visually graded.

Fair enough for businesses etc but at least SAY it was graded that way.

I play all of my records beforehand to ensure I can at least give an honest opinion of how it sounds, to me.

Anyway......I'll start with the sleeve.

Sleeve has been ripped across the top all the way to the edge but has been "sort of" stuck. Maybe with tape which has dropped off but left enough stick between the tear to "hold it". Also a part of the bottom right is missing and it has 2 tears that "lead" from that. Please check the photo to see what I mean. All of the laminate is still there though and no writing so a pleasing "look" overall. The record hasn't been inside the cover since I got it.

The back sleeve looks a lot better. Missing some of the bottom foldover at the right but pretty good apart from that. No writing and almost all of the laminate still there. No bits missing!

As to the record, well, There is crackle on the A side and Tutti frutti jumps once and sticks once (it actually jumped twice, at the beginning, but when played a 2nd time now only jumps the once. I was tempted to play it again to see if the other one disappeared too but....I didn't).

The B side sounds brilliant!! I couldn't believe how good it sounded. EX in some places which actually shocked me. There is one small jump on the last (and worst?) track, Playing for keeps, but apart from that, sounds greaaaat!!

I think that the sleeve grades F+ (front) and VG+ (back) but your opinion may differ so please look at the picture.

The record, hmmmm, G+/VG+? As I say, I am no expert, I just try to tell it like it is (on my record player). I just hope you agree with me.

The labels are also in lovely condition, no rips, tears or writing.

Still a lovely record to own. Catalogues at £300 MINT, I wish!!

It is an original pressing, as stated.

Paypal accepted but Cheques or postal orders also preferred!!!

GOOD LUCK.

Thanks for looking!!

I will happily combine postage.
