Description

Artist:           The Ugly Ducklings

Album:         Somewhere Outside

Year:            1966

Label:           Yorktown   YT 50.001

Pressing:      Canada

Condition:    Cover: NM-  Still in original loose plastic wrap. No splitting. Shows virtually no wear. Top right corner has suffered a bit of a bump but otherwise the jacket is NM. See pics. Plastic has been removed for some pics.

Record:  Side 1:  VG-   Good news, bad news. The bad news is that it appears someone (an unhappy girlfriend?) has intentionally disfigured this side of the record. Looks as though someone has taken the cap end of an old Bic pen and scraped it back and forth across the record. These marks appear bad but they are actually just superficial. It gets worse. If that wasn't bad enough, the person appears to have then taken the cap off the pen and inflicted some real damage with the pen tip, leaving 3 deep scratches behind. Unfortunately, these deeper scratches have affected all but the first track (Nothin') on Side 1 which is a shame because the record itself appears unplayed. The good news is that Side 2 did not suffer the same fate.

Side 2:  NM-   Outstanding. Shows a couple of very, very faint superficial marks only.

Comments:  This is the original 1966 Canadian Yorktown release in mono with the multi-coloured label.
