Description
Here for auction is the second of two copies I had of Groundhogs "Thank Christ For The Bomb" on the black Liberty label,this 1970 LP has cat.no.LBS 83295 and matrix stamps A-1G / B-1G.
The labels to both sides are nice and clean with only minor spindle traces and are near mint and nice to see.
The vinyl on side one is near mint visually as well as the audio and is a stunning listen and near mint is accurate as there are some strange,get very lightly pressed marks that sound only in the quietest moments yet please be sure that there are no 'pops' nor ticks and is gone as soon as the music kicks in and what a stunning play grade this LP is and I believe is as close to a sealed copy as you can get. Side two is also visually near mint,as is the audio and the winning bidder will be delighted to hear the stunning sound quality of this LP and what a talented band!!!!A real super early 1st press too!!!!
The E.J.Day textured gatefold has only storage related issues to the spine and along the sleeve opening but,is otherwise in super nice order,with nice,clear images,particularly so in the centrefold and is a very nice example,also comes with the original inner which has small stain patch to the bottom left corner and a crease to the top right entrance and grade as EX. There is what appears a narrow band of staining along the spine and believe the spine wear is as a result of this,during storage and is a shame as would have been near mint all round.
