Description
This lot is for Double 12" vinyl 2-LP's record album titled "THE KINK KRONIKLES" by The Kinks, released in 1972. The Record was released under the REPRISE Records label # 2XS-6454.
NOTE: This is the original hard-to-find 1972 release that has a unique label. It is the yellow-brown Reprise label with a steamboat logo, but “STEREO” is not printed on the label, and also the bottom rim text does not have the Warner Communications logo "W." (The more common and the later releases either have the "STEREO" designation printed on the label, or it has the Warner Bros "W" emblem printed on the label - or both).
- The jacket cover is in very-good condition. There are no split seams, saw cuts, or puncture holes. Has some overall cover wear w/ringwear. Otherwise very clean covers.
The jacket cover is in a gatefold format.
- The records are in very-good to excellent condition. I see only a couple of surface scratches on side 4 seen, but plays through with no pop or skips on my turntable. It is in Stereo sound. Very clean labels.
- Includes both of its original printed inner sleeve. The inner sleeves are in Excellent condition.True record collectors seek the original inner sleeves in almost any condition as it adds value to the album.
According to Wikipedia, this album is considered an exemplary compilation as the album was ranked number 232 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, one of the few compilations to appear on the list.
