IMPULSE A-77 "A LOVE SUPREME" JOHN COLTRANE

Original Pressing JOHN COLTRANE LP  on the IMPULSE Label

This auction is for an original, first pressing, mono, orange and black label with four "i" logos, IMPULSE Records, 1965 release of "A LOVE SUPREME" A-77;  complete with deep grooved label and "VAN GELDER" on trail-off.  The original gatefold jacket is made of the older "heavier" cardboard.  His band features: JOHN COLTRANE - tenor/soprano; MCCOY TYNER - piano; JIMMIE GARRISON - bass; and ELVIN JONES - drums.

The LP is not play graded but visually I would rate it a VG++ based on Goldmine standards: Disc has retained nearly all of its original luster and looks beautiful.  There are no visible scratches, not even from sliding in and out of jacket.  The record looks pristine.  Not even any spindle marks.  The original gatefold jacket is also beautiful with fully intact glossy laminate front, free of any writing, marks, or dings.  One small "cut-out" hole penetrates through lower left corner.  No ringwear.  NO seam splits and all edges are clean and intact.  Some very light wear to corners.  Back cover is also in great shape, free of  dings, writing, or marks.  Inner gatefold also looks fabulous with just some light toning to white areas.  Record ships with non-original  inner sleeve.    No reserve!

Please refer to my feedback for reports on other vintage LP's that I've recently sold on e-bay and please bid with complete confidence.
