Description

Original Elvis Presley Record

This record was purchased new by my father back in 1954.  He was in high school at the time, and Elvis records were obviously a big deal. 

 

The record is a 45 LP from Sun Records with "That's All Right" on one side and "Blue Moon of Kentucky" on the other.  It has the push marks and the matrix numbers U-128-45-72 and U-129-45-72.

 

The record is in good condition (see pics and judge for yourself), but does have his (my father's) name written on each side.  Before he passed away, I asked my father why he did this, and he said that he used to take the record to his high school dances and that was the only way to keep up with it back then.
