The original League of Gentlemen were formed in March 1964, Bournemouth, Dorset, England and comprised of
Robert Fripp ~ Lead Guitar, 1964-65, Gordon Haskell Vocals, Bass, Stanley Levy [aka Stan Lee] ~ Drums, Tino Licinio ~ Rhythm Guitar, Reg Matthews [aka Tony Matthews] ~ Lead Vocals, 1964-65, Dave Anthony [aka Tony Head] ~ Lead Vocals, 1965, Terry Squires ~ Lead Guitar, 1965
Robert Fripp would later use the same name for the bopping little dance band, in 1980, which included Barry Andrews, Sara Lee and Johnny Toobad
Vinyl single plays superbly, both sides. The plan white cover has writing on one side of it.
Please note, there is nothing on the single's label to indicate Fripp and Haskell played, but the distinctive style that Fripp used later on the Giles, Giles & Fripp Cheerful Insanity album, can be clearly heard. It's also well-known that Fripp's first semi-professional band was The League Of Gentlemen, and he's talked in interviews about the League of Gentlemen with Gordon Haskell and Tino Licinio in it.
