Ultra Rare Original Press Tim Maia Nuvens Seroma NM LP
In the early 90s I was a record dealer buying in Brazil and I would always keep the best condition copies of great albums for myself. Records in Brazil in those days were almost always trashed or ruined with sticky alcohol (supposedly to clean them). Any pristine examples I would hang on to and clean them back in the UK on a professional industrial grade record cleaner.
I have a bunch of Tim Maia LPs I’m listing. These are ORIGINAL first pressings and not recent vinyl reissues.
This one is on Tim’s own SEROMA label and therefore super rare. I met Tim in the 90s and he was not in the best position to be running a record label so pressing and distribution was super erratic.
Back then no one was really buying these records but 25 years later Tim has finally got the recognition he deserved outside of his home country.
Condition:
Cover is VG+ - has light water marks and is signed by Tim on front. Humidity and atmosphere in Rio mean that most vintage LP sleeves have some discolouration or foxing.
LP is Near Mint - vinyl totally glossy like new, not marks or scratches or visible issues. Brazilian vinyl from this era ALWAYS had pops and other small issues when playing even when factory sealed. For a super rare LP this is in the best condition possible.
