DESCRIPTION:

This listing is for a rare original 1984 radio broadcast of the Weekly Top 40 which the radio stations played to their audiences. The four records are in VG+ to NM condition and look to be gently played only the one time. The outer cover has some wear and dirt, but the records were unaffected. Please see my photos, as they are part of the description for this item, and ask for more if desired.

Rick Dees’ Weekly Top 40 (sometimes known as The Weekly Top 40) is an internationally syndicated radio program created and hosted by American radio personality Rick Dees. It debuted in September 1983, after Rick's then-station, KIIS-FM, lost American Top 40 to a rival station, KIQQ (now KSWD) over the playing of network commercials. 

This is how nationally syndicated radio shows were formatted back in the 1980's. A 4-hour show would be mailed to the station on four, 12-inch vinyl records.

• Discs are labeled for 2 parts, each meant to play continuously on two turntables by the radio station.
