Hi All, its been some time since I put a few records up for auction, however, the thinning out of my collection continues and I’ve sorted out a few choice cuts in the collection for your consideration as well as a few ‘vinyl staples’ for the discerning new entrant to vinyl collecting. OK for your consideration we have:
Title: SIXTY-FIVE PARKWAY by JELLYBREAD
Cat No: 2431 – 002
Issue: Original 1970 issue on the BLUE HORIZON Label
Vinyl Condition visual: The vinyl grades as EX. The vinyl has retained most of its gloss and is very clean; essentially showing only the minimum of careful handling marks. There are no major marks to the vinyl to report, All in all, a superb copy of this collectable.
Vinyl Condition Playback: The vinyl grades as EX; almost silent at the run-ins, and between the tracks, however, for completeness there are a few very occasional low level/mild static clicks/pops – but these are hardly detectable even with headphones on. Aside from this, the playback is EX and the music is delivered superbly. The vinyl sits perfectly flat on the turntable.
Label Condition: Ex; just look at the phots, there’s virtually no marks at all and no damage, writing or unwanted blemishes at all to the labels. The light blue text is clean and legible. Super clean labels.
Cover Front: The front cover Grades as EX- ; the unlaminated front is clean and undamaged and has retained its shape very well. The central image is clear and just showing some very light and mild aging and very light ring wear when held to the light (very light). All edges are secure, a little rubbed at the bottom edge and a soft crease paralleling the spine edge; overall an excellent example of this very delicate sleeve.
Cover Back: EX; the unlaminated back is in EX condition being clean and damage free; some very mild rubbed areas but mostly minor age related and absolutely nothing too serious at all.
Spine: EX; the spine is intact, clean and all the text is legible and clear.
Corners: VG; mild and gentle knocks but mostly retaining their shape.
Summary: For those who collect the fab BLUE HORIZON label or soulful blues in general, this is a very worthy addition to your collection. Again not super rare but it is a tough one to track down in decent condition. Good stuff like this, in this condition doesn’t present itself too often and it’s certainly going to get more difficult to find it in the future. With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.
