Description

I am the artist who designed and painted the cover for the 1972 Nick Drake album "Pink Moon" for which I have a printers proof copy of the original sleeve design on which the lettering differs from the final distributed version. The design was changed at this stage as it was considered too difficult to read the name and title so I re-designed it using a bolder typeface. To my knowledge no other copy of this album sleeve exists. I would like to sell it with the inclusion of the original first pressing vinyl disc, which is in excellent condition. The size of the sleeve is 32cm by 32cm and the image continues as a wraparound on the back. (Michael Trevithick/London 2006)
