International Records 623 246/247, recorded August 1965. 2-LP boxed set. First and superior-sounding issue of this music, more commonly known under the name The London Concert. Discs have apparently been cleaned after long-ago fingerprints. though some shadows are visible, there is no remaining audible remnant of them. Both play in Mint condition.. 8-page 12” insert intact. Box itself is sturdily constructed and in good shape; some edge-wear and moderate splitting. This is one of over 200 LPs being consigned on auction weekly between now and Spring 2007 from the well-kept and thorough collection of the late sculptor Bradford Graves, a key participant in the operations of New York performance space Soundscape. The collection ranges from Art Blakey to Han Bennink, with especially strong showings of Saturn, FMP, ICP, and US private pressings from the early Seventies. Some prizes and surprises in every batch.
