Ornette Coleman Paris Concert Trio Pa 7169/7170 stereo Japan Orig press 2 Lp foldout with insert This set is the only vinyl issue of this music.
Ornette Coleman (as,t, vln), Dewey Redman (ts, musette), David Izenson, Charlie Haden (b), Ed Blackwell, Charles Moffet (d) Recorded 1966, 1971 The information on the record cover list a 1971 recording date in Paris. This is only partially correct. 3 tunes were recorded Feb. 12 1966 in Paris.
The records both look and play M-. No scuffing and no scratches. Grooves are bright and glossy and look unplayed or nearly so.
The cover is VG++.
The front and back covers are super bright and glossy with hint of ring wear. Inside the foldout is very bright and clean and looks great. Dents and wear spots on the corners. Thin strip, app 1 inch long of slick missing at the top of the spine. No split seams. Spine is intact and readable.
Black lines that might be visible at bottom left and top right in pictures are due to photo cropping and not on cover.
My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
