RARE original Ornette Coleman “The Shape Of Jazz To Come” — Atlantic Records Stereo Pressing

This copy appears to be a hybrid issue. The vinyl itself seems to align with a 1960 mono pressing, while the jacket matches the 1962 stereo reissue. It’s possible this is a transitional copy or a case where leftover mono labels were paired with early stereo jackets during distribution. (Happy to confirm with matrix or runout details if requested.)

Side A

1. Lonely Woman

2. Eventually

3. Peace

Side B

1. Focus on Sanity

2. Congeniality

3. Chronology

Vinyl has small surface scratches but nothing you can feel, not play tested however I think a good clean and this record will be a strong VG however please come to your own decision.

I can also provide videos and more pictures upon request. Labels have very little to no wear with one small stain on side 2.

Cover has wear that is consistent with its age however it is in good shape, Some paper loss on the edges but no real seam splits, overall a very clean jacket. Comes with a plain printed paper inner that I’m assuming is not original.

Please refer to photos for condition and feel free to message me with any questions!

Happy bidding!
