Description

OS TINCOÃS Canto Coral Afrobrasileiro

Os Tincoãs, a Brazilian group known for their ethereal vocal harmonies and Yoruba mythology-based songs, released "Canto Coral Afrobrasileiro" decades after their last album. This collection from 1982/83 features original tracks and new versions of classics, merging Afro-Brazilian rhythms with American gospel choir influences. The album, a vision of Afro-Brazilian gospel by producer Adelzon Alves, includes the band and the Coral dos Correios e Telégrafos do Rio de Janeiro choir. This blend symbolizes a musical connection between African and American traditions.
The album's release marks a resurgence in interest in Os Tincoãs' music. Known for their fusion of samba, capoeira chants, and Candomblé spiritual songs, the group's sound resonates with new generations. "Canto Coral Afrobrasileiro" not only revives the group's legacy but also showcases the richness of Afro-Brazilian music and its cultural significance
