Here is the 2 track US 7" 45 single I Got What You Need/ Come On Home To Me by Oscar Perry And The Love Generators from 1975 (I think). Housed in a plain card sleeve & released on Peri-Tone Records Inc, the Catalogue Number is 45-101674. This example has paper labels & a large centre hole. I assume the package was made in the US for US release. Although hard to decipher, an official stamp on each label states “DEMO NOT FOR SALE”. The A side label has been coloured in. The original owner was a DJ, so they probably did it to highlight their preferred song.

Condition as follows including photographs: The sleeve is in excellent minus/ very good plus condition, due to slight creasing, slight wear & slight discolouration. The Vinyl is in very good minus condition, due to two noticeable scratches towards the end of Come On Home To Me. A shorter one causes six clicks, while a longer one at the end causes twelve clicks (although the last five or so occur after the song has ended). There is also slight surface noise intermittently throughout Come On Home To Me, mostly in quieter passages. Even factoring in the clicks, I don’t think the surface noise is invasive & so would not expect it to affect your listening pleasure. I always expect some surface noise from records of this age & condition. I Got What You Need has a few light scratches but plays perfectly throughout. The record may benefit from being cleaned. As mentioned above, the A side label has been coloured in. The original owners initials are written in pen on the A side label. There is some wear to the B side label. Although in less than ideal condition, I decided to list this 7” single, as it is rare & sought after. Despite the issues highlighted above, at the very least it will be a suitable collection filler, until a better one comes along.

Will be sent as Royal Mail Special Delivery (Guaranteed by 1pm) to UK destinations as this is a UK only transaction. PLEASE NOTE: Royal Mail Postage charges may be higher than you would expect. I ship at cost, including my packaging (which may also cost more than you would expect, if you don’t send parcels yourself). *NOTES ON CONDITION: I grade according to the Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide & will not necessarily list all individual points in the written description. There will be a blanket grade for each component (sleeve, record etc), which smaller factors fall into. The general appearance will be clearly visible in the photographs. Please study the photographs in detail as they form the bulk of the description. Please be aware that play grading is based on my interpretation of what I hear on my system only. Although it is an honest assessment, it does not automatically follow that you would reach the same conclusion when listening on your own system, as there are so many variables. I DON’T use Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide categories when play grading, just my own judgement.
