Description

Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted. 

Grading is based on visual inspection.

Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a 2 MIL poly inner sleeve.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

  • This is nothing less than an all-time classic. It was Otis at his peak and was the last solo album released before his untimely and tragic death in 1967.
  • A couple of spindle marks indicate this copy has been played but the playing surfaces are clean.
  • This appears to be the first edition of the 1966 stereo version but I can't tell for sure by the matrix.
  • The substantial vinyl record has the original yellow Volt label. It was distributed by ATCO through Atlantic.
  • The paper on board cover has tight seams and shows no wear. There is an upper left corner bump.
  • The original inner sleeve is plain white die-cut paper. I have include a soft poly inner sleeve.
  • Seller got this new in 1966 or 1967. It was his second or third copy and has been in storage for at least 50 years.
