Otis Spann traf Fleetwood Mac bei den "Blues Jam At Chess " – Aufnahmen. Sie verstanden sich gut, und die Gruppe wurde als Begleitband für sein neues Album ausgewählt. Allerdings wollte er seinen Freund SP Leary am Schlagzeug dabei haben, weshalb Mick Fleetwood nicht mitspielt . Leary’s  Drumming ist ein wenig entspannter als das von Mick Fleetwood. Warum Jeremy Spencer nicht dabei war ist mir nicht bekannt. Diese LP wurde das letzte Studioalbum von Otis  Spann ( 1930-1970 ). Er war eine wichtige (Hintergrund) Figur in der Chicago-Blues –Szene. Während seiner Karriere spielte er mit Künstlern wie Bo Diddley , Howlin ' Wolf und Big Mama Thornton zusammen und war sechzehn Jahre ein Vollzeit- Mitglied der Muddy Waters Band. Sein Klavierspiel , Songwriting und Stil war auch eine große Inspiration für viele weißen Blues- Musiker. Nach dem Tod wurde er von der Blues Gemeinde vergessen und sein Körper war 30 Jahre in einem anonymen Grab beigestzt , bis Blues -Enthusiasten aus der ganzen Welt einen Grabstein spendeten.

Otis Spann met Fleetwood Mac at the "Blues Jam At Chess" sessions. They got along pretty good , and the group was selected as the backing band for his new album . However, he wanted to have his friend SP Leary on drums , so Mick Fleetwood does not play on the album . Leary 's drumming is a little more relaxed than that of Mick Fleetwood. I Don’t know why Jeremy Spencer was not present,. This LP was the last studio album of Otis Spann ( 1930-1970 ) . He was an important (background) figure in the Chicago blues scene. During his career he has played with artists such as Bo Diddley , Howlin 'Wolf and Big Mama Thornton , and was sixteen years a full-time member of the Muddy Waters Band . His piano playing , songwriting and style was also a great inspiration for many white blues musicians . After his death he was forgotten by the blues community and his body was bury for 30 years in an unmarked grave , till blues enthusiasts from all around the world donated a grave stone.

Condition “Very Good”. Die LP hat leichte „Wischer“, entstanden durch das Rausziehen und Reinschieben in die Innenhülle, die aber nicht hörbar sind . Einige leichte Oberflächenkratzer sind ebenfalls vorhanden die sich aber nur durch kurzes leises Knacken bemerkbar machen und nur auf einem Track leicht anschwellen. Keine tiefen Kratzer die das Abspielen wesentlich stören.  Geprüft habe ich die Platte mit Kopfhören, beim Abspielen über Boxen sind diese Nebengeräusche um einiges geringer. Cover: Die Laminierung ist noch recht gut erhalten und hat nur an der Einschubseite minimale Verschleißerscheinungen. Der LP-Rücken ist noch unbeschädigt und gut leserlich.  Die Ecken sind leicht angestoßen und ein  „Record Ring“ beginnt sich im Gegenlicht leicht abzuzeichnen. Auf der matten Rückseite ist im unteren Bereich die Farboberfläche geringfügig abgeschabt, wodurch die dortige Schrift teilweise nicht mehr genau leserlich ist. (Siehe Fotos) Es sind aber keine Risse oder sonstige Schäden vorhanden.

Condition "Very Good". The LP has some isolated "hairlines" caused by the pulling out and pushing in the inner sleeve, but they are not audible. Some light surface scratches are also visible but audible only in short faint clicking noise and swell slightly noticeable only one track. No deep scratches disturb the play considerably. I have tested the drive with headphones, played over loudspeakers this quiet noise is a lot less. Cover: The lamination is still quite well preserved and has only on the insertion side minimal wear and tear. The LP-spine is still intact and legible. The edges are slightly initiated and a "Record Ring" begins in backlight slightly emerge. On the matte backside, in the lower region, the ink slightly scraped off so that the prited letter no longer exactly partially legible. (See photos) But there are no cracks or other damage.
